Logging In To Your Tenda Router

The Tenda Admin interface is your web-based control panel where you can change settings and configure your router services with a generous array of primary and advanced settings. To access the admin interface, you will need your Tenda router, a connection to your network (LAN or Wi-Fi), and a web browser.

Follow these steps to log into your Tenda router:

  1. To reach your Tenda Admin panel, you need to connect to your Network. You can do this using either LAN from a desktop or laptop computer, or using Wi-Fi from your mobile device.

From your mobile device, select Wi-Fi located under the settings tab, select your network from the list and connect by entering your password.

If you cannot remember your Wi-Fi password, the Ethernet/LAN option will not require a password. Tenda recommends using this option as the connection is more stable, and you do not run the risk of disconnecting before you can save any changes you have made.

  2. Once you are connected to the internet, open a web browser, and enter your router’s IP address in the address bar.

192.168.0.1 is the most common IP address for Tenda routers. Some routers use 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1. Should this not work, the IP address is normally printed on a label on your router, look at the bottom of your router to locate it. If you are connected to the internet, go to whatsmyrouterip.com to find your specific router’s IP.

  3. The Login screen for your Tenda router should open and request your username and password. If this is your first time logging on, use the default username and password. Some Tenda model will not even ask for a username, type in the password when requested. If that does not work, leave it blank and click on Login.

If you cannot remember your username and password, you can do a hard reset of your router. Press and hold the reset button at the back of your router using a pen or paperclip. Doing this will reset your router to the original factory settings. You can now use the default username and password.

  4. Now that you are logged in, you can configure anything you want on the Tenda Admin Interface. For security reasons, always change your username and password to prevent unwanted guests from using your Wi-Fi Network. You can do this by going to the WLAN settings, click on ‘Enable Wireless’ and change your credentials under the security settings.
